Chicken Shawarma


First, we make the shawarma bread needed for shawarma

(To Tia Roti)

Ingredients:

  • 200 g of bread flour
  • One teaspoon of baking powder
  • Half a teaspoon of salted powder
  • Two tablespoons of olive oil or white coconut oil
  • Water

How to make bread: -

👉Take a bowl of bread flour, baking powder, salt powder, and oil, mix everything well, and add a little warm water to make a non-stick dough.

👉Then leave it in the bowl for about three minutes.

👉Then make a round shape ball, cover it with a little oil on top, and cover it with a damp cloth for about 15 minutes.

👉Close it and then break it into equal parts, make about six small balls, cover for about 10 minutes, and then thin them on a floured board (with the help of a rolling pin).

👉Then place the bread in a pan, add a little oil, reduce the heat to the stove, and bake on both sides of the bread as usual.

👉When brown spots appear, take off the pan.

👉Then place it in the middle of a serviette and cover it (It keeps the roti soft).

Now let's make the chicken: -

For that,

  • 300g of chicken without thorns,
  • 3 tablespoons of yogurt, half a teaspoon of chili powder,
  • half a teaspoon of pepper powder,
  • half a teaspoon of curry powder,
  • salt powder
  • One tablespoon of ginger garlic paste
  • two teaspoons of lime juice

Method of making: -

👉Cut the chicken into long strips, add all the above ingredients, mix well, and refrigerate for about an hour to marinate.

👉Then add two tablespoons of coconut oil to a pan, and fry the chicken well.

Then let's make the sauce,

Ingredients:

  • 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise sauce,
  • two tablespoons of yogurt,
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic paste,
  • half a teaspoon of pepper powder,
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt,
  • two teaspoons of olive oil,
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice,

👉Then put all this together and mix well and set aside.

Now let's make a vegetable salad,

Ingredients:

  • Salad leaves
  • A cup of finely cut carrots of elongated shape
  • A cup of finely cut cabbage
  • Red-green bell peppers cut into an elongated shape
  • A small piece of green cucumber finely chopped into an elongated shape

👉Put all this chopped in a bowl and then add a little salt and pepper to taste, a teaspoon of olive oil, a little lime juice, and a little mayonnaise and stir.

Now let's wrap the bread;

👉First, take a loaf of bread then add about two tablespoons of the sauce, chicken on top, some vegetable salad, a teaspoon of tomato sauce, and then roll it out.

👉Put a toothpick to avoid separating the roti
